Basic Information

The A to Z Journal Locater is an online, searchable list of all the journals to which our University has access, both online and print.

Use the A-Z Journal Locater when you have the citation for a journal article and you need to find the full text. Enter keywords from the title of the journal (not the title of the article) and the A-Z Journal Locater will list what, if any, access the Library has to that journal (both online and in print).

If you need to find individual articles on a certain topic, please use one of our
Online Databases.

NOTE: You must be logged in to the MyUSA portal with your individual username and password to access this section.

If asked for a second username and password, leave the fields blank and click "Login."

Interlibrary Loan, otherwise known as “ILL,” is a service through which a Library can obtain copies of books and articles from other Libraries.  Because the Library can not reasonably purchase or house every material that is published or produced, the University offers an Interlibrary Loan service.  Any University of St. Augustine student, faculty, or staff member can request materials through ILL.

For article reproductions, Section 108(g)(2) (CONTU Guidelines) of the Copyright Law of 1976 limits the number of article photocopies a single person can request/receive. Requesting and receiving more than 5 articles from a given periodical within any calendar year for a total of 5 or more copies of articles published within 5 years prior to the date of request would be too many.  We will inform you if you exceed this limit.  If the Library subscribes to a periodical but the volume/issue is not immediately available, the Library considers the copy obtained from another Library as if made from our own collection.

The time it takes to receive an article and the cost depends largely on the materials requested.  Generally, most items arrive at the USAHS Library within 1-5 business days. However, some items may take longer.  Please plan ahead.

Fees for obtaining a copy of an article vary depending on the lending institution.  The cost ranges from $0-$11 per article.

To request an article:

Fill out the ILL Form (in the A-Z Journal Locater)

Email the request to librarian@usa.edu

OR

Fax the request to the Librarian at (904) 823-3445

If you have any questions about Interlibrary Loan Service, please contact the Librarian.
