Description

This course will define the scope of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), its historical evolution, incidence and proposed etiology. Common diagnostic tests and treatment approaches will be discussed. Occupational performance area deficits will be identified and contributory performance skills, patterns, and client factors will be reviewed. Useful evaluation tools and methods of ongoing assessment will be introduced, and a brief
overview of evidence-based interventions will be addressed.
