Description
Introduces basic patient management skills including infection control principles, body mechanics, positioning and draping, assessment of vital signs, bed mobility, wheelchair activities, transfer techniques, passive range of motion exercise, and gait training with assistive devices. Students will develop initial skills in therapeutic touch, communication and interprofessional collaboration.
