Description
Nurses use theory along with the best scientific evidence to provide the highest level of nursing practice. This course focuses on the integration of theory and empirical evidence and application to nursing practice and decision making. There is an introduction to the nature and uses of theory and the process of theory construction. Major theories of nursing and concepts and theories from other sciences relative to nursing are analyzed with an emphasis on implications for nursing practice. Models and principles of quality improvement are also applied.
