Description
This course prepares students for the transition of the role of the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. This course will guide students in preparation for the national board certification examination. Students will learn how the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner integrates a culmination of knowledge into clinical practice. Understanding evidence-based interventions, the scope of practice and coordinating mental health care is essential in the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner role.
