Description

This course is the second in a series of Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) practicum courses. Graduates of the DNP program are leaders in translating evidence into practice through system-focused change, evidence-based quality improvement, policy, and/or program evaluation. Students must demonstrate proficiency in acquisition of internal and external approvals of the DNP scholarly project. The DNP scholarly project phase concludes with the initiation of implementation and evidence collection in preparation for evaluation of outcomes. This precepted experience involves collaboration between the student, practicum faculty, and preceptor to provide opportunities for demonstrating synthesis of learning, completion of practicum hours, and necessary approvals to begin implementation of the the DNP scholarly project.
