Description

This course is designed to prepare the student in the theory and clinical application of physical modalities. The physical principles and biophysical effects of cryotherapy, heat, ultrasound, electrical currents, water and debridement are presented as they relate to treatment for indicated pathological conditions. Emphasis upon the principles of differential diagnosis are to used in the selection/recommendation and application of appropriate physical agents. In addition, the care and treatment of wounds and burns is included.
