Description

This course includes a study of the profession of physical therapy (PT) in the health care delivery system. Students will examine historical foundations and their professional association. Students will receive an introduction to the Guide to Physical Therapist Practice and its purpose and use in the practice of PT. Students will review the Functional Outcome approach to documentation with an integration of SOAP note format. This course is a component of the clinical education program and abides by all policies and procedures for clinical internship experiences as outlined in the Clinical Education handbook.
