Description

This is an online course that explores the physical therapist?s role in the evaluation and treatment of the lumbo-pelvic-hip system. The latest research in the biomechanics of the pelvic girdle is presented as well as a biomechanical and neurophysiological approach to the lumbo-pelvic-hip complex. The discussion of patient examination has an evidenced-based focus. Topic areas include: functional anatomy, biomechanics of the sacroiliac and pubic joints, selected pathologies and dysfunctions. Clinical evaluation and treatment methods are demonstrated through the use of video clips. Prerequisites are completion of the PHT 7201 and the CPE seminar, ?Functional Analysis and Management of the Lumbo-Pelvic-Hip Complex (S4),? offered by the University.?
