Psychomotor Training for AdvancedManipulation in Clinical Practice (CPE 9 075)
Term: 2014-2015 Academic Year Spring
This course is designed specifically for residents and fellows in training to achieve higher orthopaedic manual physical therapy competence. A review of how thrust manipulation fit into clinical practice will be provided via a lecture format and discussions amongst participants. Psychomotor training will be conducted by introducing and demonstrating advanced manipulation techniques for the extremities and the spine. Specific training and modifications will be provided to each participant by the instructor to improve psychomotor competence with these advanced manipulation techniques. The application of clinical reasoning in case related examples will be introduced for each technique.
