Term: 2019-2020 Academic Year Fall
This seminar has a broad focus. It covers craniofacial pain and headaches related to pathologies of the TMJ as well as the effect of degenerative and postural changes of the mid and lower cervical spine on craniocervical posture and function. Surgical management of the TMJ and mandible will be discussed and pre-/post surgical patient management carefully explained. Finally, the role of the physical therapist in the management of craniofacial malformations and anomalies will be discussed. The overall emphasis of this seminar is on the integration of treatment-related knowledge and total craniocervical management.
