Term: 2013-2014 Academic Year Spring
Description

Handling to horse and equine ailments will be discussed and/or practiced. An in depth analysis of HHR therapy students? progression will be examined, further supporting the success of equine-assisted therapy as a treatment modality. Students will actively participate in each role of the equine therapy team during actual therapy sessions. While practicing the therapy instructor role, an individualized care plan for the therapy student will be developed and implemented under the direction of an HHR employee. Furthermore, an optional session on building your own equine-assisted therapy practice will be offered. Upon successful completion of class and final exam, the student will obtain the Equine-assisted Therapy Instructor Certification.
