Pharmacology, imaging, and differential diagnosis for the physical therapist are briefly introduced, as are various aspects of practice management, such as reimbursement issues, marketing, and communication. Furthermore, the care of special populations will be discussed, as well as cultural competency in the primary care environment. Following this seminar, students will be able to define and defend the role of primary care physical therapists and discuss the evidence base for the interview and examination of physical therapists.
