This webcast will examine the definition of advocacy, what skills are needed to participate in everyday advocacy in the healthcare setting. Through storytelling and a discussion of case studies, the presenters will break down what advocacy is, why it is important to get involved, and how to take your first steps. This webcast will introduce the different ways advocacy can be practiced and how to get started on your own personal advocacy journey. You will gain tips and ideas on how to become a skilled advocate for yourself, your clients and your profession, through participation in everyday advocacy.
