Implementation of the CDC's STEADI Initiative by Healthcare Providers (CPE 9 916)
Term: 2023-2024 Academic Year Fall
The purpose of the presentation is to raise awareness among healthcare providers of the STEADI (Stopping Elderly Accidents, Deaths, & Injuries) initiative created by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s Injury Center. Furthermore, the presentation will highlight current fall statistics and the potential impact of falling on the older adult population. Finally, the presentation will encourage healthcare providers to take action now by applying the STEADI through education and hands-on care to help reduce an older adult’s fall risk.
