Learning Experience

Please share/ discuss something you learned from this fieldwork experience you feel will impact your practice as occupational therapist in the future.
I have learned various techniques for treating stroke patients. I have also learned what to do when you patient passes out or is unresponsive. There are a plethora of things I have learned on this experience. The importance of time management is a huge learning experience for me. Being in a inpatient rehab setting has taught me to manage my time and complete treatment sessions in an hour and half hour time period. It has also taught me to plan mt treatment sessions accordingly. Time management is a huge factor in this setting. I have learned how to adequately and accurately perform FIM scoring for patients based on ADLs. I will have finished this experience with a better knowledge of occupational based treatment.
