Discuss how evidence based practice is used to support client interventions in this setting. Evidence based practice is used to support client interventions everyday day in my current setting. As a student, my FWS has me research the most current treatments for the variety of diagnoses in my caseload. Once I have found a few relevant articles, I bring them in for my FWS to read over them and ultimately decided which intervention I should implement into my future OT sessions. Not only have these assignments given me the opportunity to learn more about specific diagnosis but it has also made me think out of the box and try things that I would normally intimidate me. The therapists also go to frequent seminars and have other professionals come in and educate them on recent technology/treatments that could benefit our patients.
