Description
This blended learning course prepares the OPA student to master the art of taking medical histories and performing physical examinations on patients across the lifespan. The focus is on recognition of "normal" and the significance of "abnormal" findings. A systems approach is used and the material is taught using online lecture and individual use of readings, online and in-lab demonstration, and lab practicum format. Supervised laboratory sessions are utilized to incorporate and practice skills presented in the online lectures.
