Description

This course is the fourth course in the professional development series. The core values of professionalism are expanded on to emphasize the importance of ethical and legal responsibilities of billing and coding. Students prepare for their professional career through exploration of physical therapy careers, development of a professional resume, and gaining skills for identifying and evaluating potential employment opportunities. Communication skills are cultivated to improve successful interactions with future employers and colleagues. Students establish a professional relationship with a mentor. The core values of professionalism are expanded upon to emphasize the importance of patient advocacy and ethical and legal responsibilities of documentationas mechanisms for allowing practice at the top of the physical therapist license.
