Description
This course introduces soft tissue and joint manual therapy techniques for lower quarter musculoskeletal conditions. Students learn assessment and treatment approaches for lumbar spine, sacroiliac joint, hip, knee, ankle, and foot. Laboratory sessions focus on developing handling skills, patient positioning, proper body mechanics, and safe application of selected techniques from major manual therapy schools of thought.Students identifykey clinical presentations and movement impairments responsive to manual therapy and develop skills in basic techniqueselectionand application. This course requires an in-person, on-campus component in week 15 of the trimester.
