Thiscourse integrates foundational competencies from the National Strength and Conditioning Association’s(NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)andCertified Performance and Sport Scientist (CPSS)certifications. Students examine core principles of exercise physiology, biomechanics, performance testing, and evidence-based program design to enhance function and performance across athletic and clinical populations.The course emphasizes interdisciplinary decision-making and data-informed practice through applied interpretation of performance metrics. Learners apply physiological and biomechanical data to guide exercise prescription, readiness monitoring, and return-to-performance planning.The culminatingcase-basedproject requiresthe developmentof a comprehensive macrocycle trainingprogramthatintegratesassessment findings, performance goals, and progressionprinciples.
