This course prepares Doctor of Physical Therapy students for a successful transition into professional practice and long-term career growth. Students explore essential topics that shape the modern profession of physical therapy, including leadership in clinical and organizational settings, legal and ethical structures, and strategies for managing costs and revenues. Students examine payment systems and policy implications, learn effective marketing approaches, and deepen understandings of the profession’s evolving landscape. To assess understanding andassistwith career development, students prepare professional presentations for entry-level practice, developing an elevator pitch, revising their résumés and cover letters, and polishing their LinkedIn profiles. By the end of the course, students are equipped with the knowledge, strategies, and confidence to thrive aslicensedphysical therapists and future leaders in the profession.
