Description
This is the third and final full-time clinical experience in which the student will be provided the opportunity to apply the theory and skills acquired in the didactic course work within the clinical setting. This internship will last eight weeks and is considered a next stage in the cumulative process of obtaining competency in clinical skills. The Clinical Performance Instrument (CPI) developed by the APTA is the current grading tool for physical therapy students during their clinical internships.
