Description

This course, designed for graduate health professions students, provides foundational knowledge and skills for the assessment of and intervention for feeding and swallowing disorders in infants and children. Assessment and intervention are addressed through an evidence-based and interprofessional lens, emphasizing collaboration among a variety of health professionals to include dieticians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, physicians, psychologists, and speech-language pathologists. Through a series of case studies, students will apply knowledge and skills acquired within the course to clinical practice.
