All leveling courses must be registered and paid by the close date, as we are unable to fulfill any late admissions for leveling courses. Leveling Course Registration Instructions
Note: It can take up to three business days to receive access to the registration system once you are admitted.


Step 1: Log into your myUSA portal: https://my.usa.edu/ICS/

Step 2: Click on “Student Services” on the navigation bar at the top of the portal (if your monitor is small, you may need to click on “More” on the far right to view additional links)

Step 3: Select “Registrar” from the left-side menu

Step 4: At the top of the left-side menu, click on “NDS Registration”

Step 5: Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Add/Drop Courses

Step 6: Make sure both “Term” fields are set to “2025-2026 Academic Year – Spring” (do not select an option with a subterm or a month)

Step 7: Make sure the division is “Non Degree Students”

Step 8: Click on “Search”

Step 9: From the search results, select the course(s) you are taking by checking the box to the left of the course. Hit “Add Courses” at the bottom. You should receive a message that you have successfully registered. If you receive an error message, try clearing your cache or using a different browser (not Safari). If you still cannot register for courses, take a screenshot and email your Student Success Advisor, Laura Youngblood, at lyoungblood@usa.edu.

Note: You can check your registration status on myUSA > My Info > My Schedule.

Booklist
You can find your booklist on the Leveling Courses page in your myUSA portal (myUSA > Academics > MS-SLP > Leveling Courses).

Blackboard
All Leveling courses are 100% online and 100% asynchronous, offered through Blackboard. You can access Blackboard through the USAHS dashboard and look over this guide to get familiar with the platform. https://help.usa.edu/hc/en-us/articles/26000670868887-Blackboard-Quick-Start-Guide-For-Students

Some instructors will hold live virtual lectures, but students are not required to attend them. These lectures are recorded and uploaded to Blackboard for students to view.

Spring 2026 SLP Leveling Book List

Book Lists are published and shared 8 weeks prior to the start of each trimester.

Registration & Payment Instructions

To Make a Payment:

    • Log onto your student portal, under the My Info tab, then choose "my account balance"
    • A screen will populate, please select "my account balance"
    • Select "make a payment"
    • It will show zero ($0.00) amount due, so type in the amount you are paying under the online balance section. (For example:  1 course=561, 2 courses=1,122)

Once you register for the course, the Bursar will add the billing to your account. If you do not receive an email confirmation, please contact the Bursar’s Office at Bursar@usa.edu to confirm payment.
