Discuss how evidence based practice is used to support client interventions in this setting.  In APA format, list one article you used to support evidence based practice.

In our pediatric home-based therapy setting, as well as the special needs school setting, there are many intervention strategies for which we have utilized evidence based practice to come up with the ideal protocols to use for our clients. These interventions include, but are not limited to, therapeutic listening, interactive metronome, CIMT, and sensory stimulation/diet. The following article is one example of the research provided on the effects of a therapeutic listening protocol along with sensory diet for children with sensory processing disorder, which is the case for many of our clients.

Hall, L., & Case-Smith, J. (2007). The effect of sound-based intervention on children with sensory processing disorders and visual-motor delays. American Journal of Occupational Therapy, 61(2), 209–215.

Jane Case Smith has some wonderful work available to pediatric therapists.  She really looks at interventions through occupations and through function.  Nice article selection.  Have a safe Holiday.  Looking forward to seeing you soon.
