My FWS has been very impressed with my performance a student in acute care setting. During the midterm evaluation we discussed increasing the challenges including adding depth to new patient chart reviews by reviewing lab values and understanding how they might effect evaluation/treatment. The hospital has no formal guidelines for parameters of lab values that deter treatment. Having an understanding of lab values and their effect on treatment. Incorporating this information will help prevent crisis situations during therapy sessions.

I have already began to review the information and compare them to references provided by the hospital. It has been difficulty developing the clinical judgement of when to hold treatment. I have been discussing with my FWS questions as they arise.
