Where does occupational therapy fit in the organizational chart for your facility?

At Catalyst Therapy, Inc., there are occupational therapy and speech therapy clinicians. Each therapist is an "independent contractor" under the business owner (who is not a clinician). All clinicians same level as one another and there are no OT or ST managers or department heads.

Of the following categories, which best describes the type setting of this fieldwork experience? Orthopedics, Acute, SNF, Pediatrics or Rehab (acute, outpt, etc)

This fieldwork is in an outpatient pediatric setting. 

List three fieldwork objectives/ goals you and your fieldwork supervisor (FWS) have established. Choose one of those objectives and share how you believe this goal will be met.

1. Perform re-evaluation and complete written report independently during Week 3 (Sep 29-Oct 3).
2. Independently perform BOT-2 assessment by  Week 10 (Nov 17-21).
3. Plan and independently treat 5 sessions (1-hour long) per day during Week 12 (Dec 1-5).

In order to perform a re-evaluation and complete the written report (goal 1), I will:

1. Read the child's previous Progress Report (usually from 6 months prior).
2. Know his/her goals, and make a plan to reassess to determine if goals have been met.
3. Gather supplies necessary for reassessment.
4. Document number of trials, assist levels, and ability.
5. Write report, including updating old goals and writing new goals based on current levels of ability.
6. Review report with FWS.
7. Present report to child's parents in scheduled meeting during Week 3.
