At the school, we use the Sensory Processing Measure, the Developmental Test of Visual Perception, the BOT-2, TVPS-R, and Clinical Observations.

• Of the assessment tools utilized at this setting, name and describe one that you were not familiar with prior to this fieldwork? If there are none, please describe a challenging evaluation session you had with a client.

One challenging experience I had evaluating a client was with a child who was hyperactive.  He was easily distracted and would make everything into a toy.  In order to keep him engaged and occupied, I had the child help me set up the BOT-2 mat and pennies.  It helped keep him engaged while I was trying to set-up.  I had to provide lots of redirection to bring him back to the task.
