At Tampa General Hospital, all interventions used with the patients are evidence-based practice. For example, a patient sustained a TBI and SCI from a two-story fall while working at a construction site. The patient sustained a C5 spine fracture and is a level II ranchos. To engage the patient we used a tilt table for NDT weight-bearing and possibly an increase in cognition. There is many evidence based literature on the benefits of using a tilt table not only for physical therapy, but for occupational therapy as well.

Article on using tilt table with SCI patients.

Jacob:

Great resource.  This group does a lot of work in this area and have become well know in the OT community for their work. Sounds like you are linking evidence to practice in a good way with success.

Have a safe holiday and looking forward to seeing you soon.
