1. Discuss how evidence based practice is used to support client interventions in this setting.

At the VA clinic, evidence-based research is important to support the treatment techniques we use for our veterans. We are currently using the emWave Biofeedback program to treat our veterans with PTSD/TBI/MDD. Many of our veterans that are diagnosed with mTBI/PTSD are anxious and stressed, especially amongst crowds. With the emWave biofeedback program, it coaches veterans to control their breathing, therefore decreasing their hear rate and achieving a "high coherence". This program provides real time objective numbers for the veterans too see that by controlling their breathing rate they are able to relax.
