This fieldwork site has given me the opportunity to expand my knowledge and foundation as an Occupational therapist. Learning many different tx approaches, diagnosis, and a higher level therapeutic use of self will allow me to provide a better level of care to my future patients. Being able to evaluation many different diagnosis such as CVA's, THA's, THR's, TKA's, TKR's, stroke patients, patients post pacemaker placement, generalized weakness and CABG patents has given me a stronger foundation to treat patients as an OTR. Having the opportunity to tx all of these diagnosis and seeing the outcomes has tied all of the academic and clinical aspects together allowing me to realize how happy I am with this career choice and that this is something I have a drive to help people get better and increase their functional abilities in life.
