Please list the areas you and your FWS identified in your mid-term evaluation that you need to concentrate on for the next 5 weeks of this fieldwork rotation. 

-Increase confidence and communication skills to better communicate with families

-Clearly communicate the role of OT to families and patients during evaluation

-Improve wording with evaluations to make it more concise

-Modifying the treatment plan once it is no longer therapeutic or working

-Updating intervention plans as needed

 

Discuss how you plan to meet these new objectives/ goals.

-I plan to be more prepared about how I am going to define the role of Occupational Therapy to families in a way that makes sense to them.  I plan on having more back up plans during my treatment session so I am better able to end or modify an activity if it is no longer appropriate for the session.  I plan on communicating more with my supervisors to update intervention plans as they are no longer appropriate for the child.
