Please discuss how you incorporate occupation-based interventions in this setting.

In this outpatient clinic, there are multiple occupations we address. With veterans are seen for evaluation for DME, self care is the main occupation. We issue any equipment required for the veteran to carryout  the occupation with modified independence. For those diagnosed with mTBI, occupations incoorporated into treatment sessions are those returning to school as a student, improving as a father or husband/wife. For our ortho vets we focus on their current job taks required of them.

Describe two issues that limit your ability to use occupation-based interventions and discuss strategies that could be used to minimize these barriers.

NA

For the Demographics of Treatment Sessions specify the Percent for each of the following statements:

Considering an eight hour day, what percentage of your interventions would you describe as:

Occupation-based activities i.e., play, shopping, ADL, IADL, work, school activities, etc. (within client’s own context with his or her goals)- 45%

Purposeful activities (therapeutic context leading to occupation) - 5%

Preparatory methods i.e., sensory, PAMs, splinting, exercise, etc. (preparation for occupation-based activity)- 50%
