1. Discuss how evidence based practice is used to support client interventions in this setting.

In this clinic, we use a lot of evidence-based research to support the therapy techniques that we use and to discover new interventions and assessments. For example, we are currently treating a few patients using the CIMT approach because it has been proven through research to work for patients post stroke. I also have been looking into research about various assessment tools to see if they have been proven valid and reliable before attempting to incorporate them into evaluations.

2. In APA format, list one article you used to support evidence based practice.

Gillot, A.J., Holder-Walls, A., Kurtz, J.R., & Varley, N.C. (2003). Perceptions and experiences of two survivors of stroke who     participated in constraint-induced movement therapy home programs. American Journal of Occupational Therapy, 57, 168-176.
