In an acute care setting at a skilled nursing facility, there are a plethora of tx approaches utilized for the many different diagnosis. Tx patients under the Occupational Therapy discipline consists of continuous UE strengthening to improve quality of life and functional independence. A large population of the Pt's have suffered a stroke and evidence based practice illustrates that different approaches with UE strengthening is beneficial to patients in recovering post stroke. Continuous training regiment has proven to make patient gains through evidence based research.
