  • How many clients are you seeing daily?
    • Being in an outpatient pediatric setting, we have a couple cancellations a day due to parents inability to bring their child or have someone bring their child for them.  I see 3 to 4 patients a day so far depending on who makes it to therapy.  We have a few children with very difficult feeding issues and some premies that I am still learning from my supervisor about before I will have a chance to treat them.
  • What are their diagnoses?
    • The majority of the diagnoses we see are autism spectrum disorder and developmental delay.  We do see children with typical orthopedic injuries, spina bifida, and seizure disorders as well.
  • What is considered a full caseload for your facility?
    • We see children every 30 minutes from 8-12, then 1-4:30.  We do see a few children for an hour treatment session.  A full case load is considered productivity of 24 units, so 12 children.  We see 12-14 children a day.
  • Discuss one strategy you are utilizing to help you work toward or maintain a full caseload.
    • As mentioned above, I am still learning about feeding and how to best facilitate age appropriate movements in premies.  I continue to study and ask questions in order to better prepare myself for adding children to my caseload and be competent in treating all of the children.
