Please list the areas you and your FWS identified in your mid-term evaluation that you need to concentrate on for the next 5 weeks of this fieldwork rotation.

  • The three areas that my FWS identified include:
    • Be able to use critical thinking skills to adjust treatment sessions while providing intervention in the hospital based setting.
    • Be able to educate patients about how to approach ADLs, IADLs, work skills, etc. while promoting safety and adherence to precautions.
    • Be able to manage treatment time and treatment planning with greater efficiency. 

Discuss how you plan to meet these new objectives/ goals.

  • The way I plan to improve myself is to be able to complete a 100% caseload and continue to improve upon each treatment session. I feel that I am improving my communication methods with patients. I will rely less upon my FWS during session and I will continue to listen to feedback to improve my occupational therapy skills.
