Mid Term Objectives

•  Please list the areas you and your FWS identified in your mid-term evaluation that you need to concentrate on for the next 5 weeks of this fieldwork rotation. 

Over the next 5 weeks, I need to work on time management as it pertains to moving between sessions.  It's difficult to judge time now, because some children use wheelchairs or take longer to navigate the hallways back to class after OT is done.  We also discussed working on my ability to create sensory diets for children in the classroom and being able to collaborate with the other staff in interventions.

•  Discuss how you plan to meet these new objectives/ goals.

To work on time management, I have began to end sessions 2-4 minutes before the scheduled end time and allow students time to clean up their stations and put materials back where they came from (which is awesome, because sometimes clean-up even relates to organizational goals!).  Also, to work on sensory diets, my supervisor and I will be writing some together and then by the end of my time here, I will write 3 independently.  Finally, to collaborate with other staff, I will be co-facilitating social sensory groups and OT/ST groups more regularly.  In addition to this, I am working on writing a Social Story with the school counselor for a student.
